The LifeSaver C1 can purify up to 132,000 gallons of harvested rainwater or water sourced from rivers, springs, wells or boreholes. Designed to connect easily to an overhead water storage tank (min. 6ft off the ground) or even a municipal supply, the only requirement is a minimum pressure of 2.85 PSI. With this level of pressure, all the user needs to do is turn the tap to release a strong flow of safe drinking water, making off the grid homes and small communities truly self-sufficient.

The replaceable filter membranes used inside the C1 are the same as found in all our high performance purifiers; therefore, will protect users from viruses, bacteria and protozoa (cysts). How safe is the LifeSaver C1?

• The C1 has been tested by an independent laboratory to exceed NSF P231 compliance standards, for virus, bacteria and protozoan cyst reduction by the US Army Public Health Center (MEDCOM)
• The C1 also exceeds the standards set by the Drinking Water Inspectorate (DWI) for private water supplies
• Failsafe - an automatic indicator when the cartridge needs replacing - once the membranes are blocked, water can no longer pass through, keeping users safe

What else do I need to know?

• Requires very little maintenance - simply clean the filter cartridge once a year
• Depending on the source and quality of your water, you may want to add pre-filters to your system; a sediment filter will remove sand, silt and organic matter (extending the life of your C1), and an activated carbon filter will improve the taste and smell of your water. You may also have chemical or heavy metal contaminants that would need to be removed. We recommend getting your water tested so you can decide exactly which pre-filters are needed.
